QUICK FACTS ABOUT RELAY FOR LIFE NORDICSTYLE
- Relay is not a RACE! It is a 12-hour, overnight, team event where team members take turns with the goal of keeping at least one member of the team on the track at all times.
- Teams can be any size. Eight to twelve members is recommended.
- Overnight sleeping options include tenting around the track, downstairs in the Touring Center or reserving a guestroom in the Lodge (reduced nightly room rate of $150.00).
- Track options includes ceremonial track lit by luminaria and main spotlight as well as tiki-torch lit nordic trails.
- Survivors and Caregivers do not have to be part of a team to participate. You can do the opening lap, attend the Survivor/Caregiver Reception or volunteer for the event.
Each year, across the nation, one event brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. That event is the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. It’s a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives.
The Relay For Life NordicStyle offers a unique opportunity for winter sports enthusiasts to participate in the fight against cancer. Strap on your cross-country skiis, snowshoes, or warm walking boots and take to the course for this 12-hour overnight event. All ages and abilities are welcome!
